Our structure

No committees, no Chairperson. Everyone plays their part in running Redacre.

We work as a co-operative organisation.

That means that everyone has an equal voice in how we operate.

It also means that everyone has an equal responsibility for making things happen. All the tasks are shared between everyone. Every member agrees to contribute some of their time to communal tasks.

Lots of these tasks are undertaken at our regular Community Days, where we all get together to tackle jobs that keep our site safe, tidy and healthy for wildlife.

Some people choose to help out at other times. Other people offer help with administrative tasks, like communications and finance.

We make any big decisions at the Community Days, and anyone is welcome to participate in these meetings. Nobody has a casting vote or is more important than anyone else.

So nobody is in charge. And everybody is in charge.
